You have reached the website for my life as a writer.  You may have also stumbled upon my blog about kindness in civil service.  Good for you and your awesome googling skills! In my daytime life, I am a librarian working at a public library in New Jersey. I spend a good amount of time thinking about ways we can provide better service to our customers and just be a little kinder in all areas of life.

But this blog is not about that life, though I do urge you to think about how you could be a little bit kinder today, tomorrow and all the days that follow.   This blog is about my crazy writer life and let me tell you, mostly those two lives get blurred.

I have written one novel, You Spin Me Round and am working on my second.

I love old things: record players, pocket watches, letter writing, politeness.

Most days, I feel scruffy and that’s okay.

I sometimes come up with random resolutions to undertake which I rarely accomplish.  Recently I thought:  I should start each day by listening to one song from The Clash.  This resolution lasted 6 days and I have to say, I did enjoy starting my day that way; but, I have trouble sticking to resolutions.

My New Year’s resolution this year (2010) is to not undertake any new resolutions; but, allow myself to undertake random experiments that have no set deadlines.

I have a dog named Henry who is delightful and funny.  I highly suggest, when looking for a canine companion, to get one with a good sense of humor.
